What are auto-responders?

Emailworks allows you to create unlimited auto-responders which can be sent to the user based on an event. Auto-responders are emails which are sent automatically without having any human intervention to the recipient based on the even occurring at the back-end. As of now Emailworks provides three major events for auto-responders.

  • Subscription event
  • Link click event
  • Forward to friend event

How do I create a new auto-responder?

To create a new auto-responder go to Subscriber Lists > Click on the name of the list > click on the “Auto-responders” link. Here you will be shown if you have any existing auto-responders or not and will be given two options “Create a new auto-responder” or “Copy auto-responders from another subscriber lists”.

To create a new auto-responder click on the “Create a new auto-responder” link – this will take you to the screen as shown in the below screen shot.

Here you will need to populate the information such as Responder Name, Trigger event, the time frame in which the auto-responder will be sent after the event is triggered and finally the Email you want to send.

You can select different time frames such as immediately, after few seconds/minutes/hours/days/weeks/months etc.

Emailworks allows you to create a nicely formatted html as well text based auto-responders. When you click on the “create a new email” you can get the Email Builder dialogue box as shown in the below screen shot.

The email builder will allow you to create the auto-responder email, you can also add attachments and also preview your email before actually assigning it as an auto-responder.
