Translating Emailworks Maillist Manager
From Emailworks Wiki / Documentation
Emailworks Maillist Manager supports multi-language backend which means, different languages can be set for each user in the system.
Emailworks Maillist Manager comes with English language pack by default. You can add more languages into your Emailworks Maillist Manager in three ways:
- Translating into target language manually
- Translating into target language with Translator Plug-In (read manual)
- Download a ready-to-use language pack from Emailworks Add-Ons section
Manual Translation
Emailworks Maillist Manager language files are located under separate directories for each language. Language directories can be found under /Emailworks Maillist Manager_directory/data/languages/ directory:
In order to edit an existing language pack, just go into the target language directory and edit language file which contains the text you wish to correct. In Emailworks Maillist Manager, every screen has a separate language file and they are named descriptive to make easy finding the correct language file.
In order to create a new language, create the new language directory in /data/languages/ directory. Directory name must be the iso-standard two-letter code of the language (Ex: English -> en, Turkish -> tr, Greek -> gr). Copy English language directory file contents to the new directory and start editing them.
Using Translator Plug-In
Translator plug-in is a free and easy to use add-on for your Emailworks Maillist Manager which will let you to translate language pack on your web browser with the help of Google Translator. Click here to learn more about Translator Plug-In and click here to download it.
Downloading and Installing Ready-To-Use Language Pack
If the language you wish to translate is already published on our language add-ons section, you can download and use it in your Emailworks Maillist Manager. After downloading the language zip file, unzip and upload files to the target language directory under /Emailworks Maillist Manager_directory/data/languages.
