Within Emailworks Community communication can be done by:

• mail (private)
• posting on a wall (public)
• chat (private)
• reacting on (discussion) items (blog, video, pages, files, calendar, etc.) (puiblic / private)
• microblogging  (like twitter) (public)

So there is no need for a school to have emailadresses available from parents (they´re in their profile though). A wide varity of private and public communication is possible.

By reacting on items you can create a discussion platform for the people involved.

When communication takes place, the involved people will get a notification by email. So everybody is informed when needed.
